9.2.3 Reflect:How does religion strengthen a culture?

  1. Religion strengthens a culture by brining people together in a spiritual way and influences the type of culture. Culture represents who you are, your identity and your way of life, and this is just one of the things that brings people together and strengthens your culture. If most people in your culture have the same religion it can strengthen it and make it more personal.

Legends from different cultures are often based on religion. Taditions, celebrations and goverment are influenced by religion. It is also the basis for the values and ethics that a culture admires.

  13. religion strengthens a culture by giving the people a united sense of identity, purpose, and duty. most religions have the punishment-and-reward system, keeping the rod on the people's backs, and they let the people feel like everything has a purpose. i'm not religious, see, but i know that having faith can perform miracles. all in all, religion plays a major role in identifying culture and unifying individual strength into one body.

  20. Religion reflects culture because, although it may not be the biggest influence, there is no question that it meddles with the ways of culture. Something as simple as moral values can derive from religion. What is acceptable to wear and behaviors you learn from your religion are all contributing factors.
