  1. Latin America is called a cultural region because it includes the lands in the Western Hemisphere that were influenced by Spanish and Portugese settlers. Also, Latin America lies between the the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. They link other countries with Latin America and connect it to other regions. There is a variety of people in Latin America and they include Native Americans, Europeans, Asians, and Africans.

  2. Latin America is a cultural region because a common culture unifies it. Latin America was settled by many Spanish and Portuguese, and their cultures had a deep impact on the region. Also, the most Portuguese and Spanish language are in the Latin family of languages. This massive region is also divided into Middle America and South America. These two subregions are in different hemispheres, but still share many characteristics. Latin America as a whole is covered in mountains, and is plagued by earthquakes and volcanoes no matter which hemisphere you might be in.

  7. Latin America is called a cultural region because many different cultures are inside of its large area. Each area has its own language, religion, values, and beliefs. Portuguese and Spanish conquerors have also contributed to Latin America's diverse culture because their cultures mixed with the indigenous cultures.

  9. Latin America is called a cultural region because despite the fact that Latin America is one area, there are many different cultures. Each place has many different customs and ideas but yet Latin America stays united. There are many cultures that influence each other and other places around the world. Latin America is still unified because of the idea of a common culture.

  12. latin america's considered a cultural region partly because of the same reason it's called "Latin" america--most languages there, and therefore cultures, are latin-based. the Spanish, Portugal, etc. brought their cultures to latin america, and it meshed with the native ppls' to make a _region_ unified by its culture.
