Ancient China was a land of great achievements. It is hard to pick just one as the greatest; in a society that invented wondrous art and technology like the magnetic compass, there is so much to choose from. However, if I must choose, I believe it is paper. Paper, and the printing press, encouraged more and more people to read and write. This led to wonderful poetry, and novels such as Monkey. This achievement had a crucial affect on the world, and is still important today. Paper is used in communication, entertainment, work, art, and the list goes on. Paper was important in navigation, history, war and so many other things. Even now in the age of computers it is used for a whole lot. It is indeed a meaningful achievement. -Rachel White
I think the greatest achievement of china was the magnetic compass. Without it we would not know where we are or how to get places. This is an important skill to know and especially relates to geography. -Alyssa Weakley
there's pbbly more accomplishments of Ancient China than we'll ever know, but (this is just a personal preference) I'd say it's paper. before, bamboo sticks were used, but that required a great deal of bamboo, string, work, and room. paper on the other hand is perfect. also, easy access to written works is equivalent to spreading and recording knowledge, leading to even more achievements. i couldn't survive without paper. i love art, literature, and music (i can't play anything without it written in front of my face). second in line would be Chinese herbal medicine (almost as awesome as Kong Fu, if it weren't so bitter), but then again it wouldn't do much good without paper to record stuff with. i have a personal aversion towards warfare; without that gunpowder would be first.
I think the greatest achievement of China was paper. Paper made it easy to record thoughts, ideas, information, etc. It was used to produce books after the printing press was invented. Paper is used constantly, whether it was being used in the ancient or modern world. Many important discoveries and inventions would not have been born without the use of paper to make observations and take notes.
I think the greatest achievement of china would be silk or paper. Both of them are used for many different and important things that help us in day to day life.-lauren teebor
Ancient China had many achievements, but I believe paper was probably the most important. Being able to record information and write easily was very helpful in many factors. It encouraged literature and more people learned to read and write. The invention helped China greatly, and had a large effect on the rest of the world as it spread.
The greatest achievement in ancient China is the compass because as time went on people built on that invention and made it better and some people still use compasses today!
I believe that the greatest achievement of China would be gunpowder because of the great change it made in the world. Because of gunpowder, routes THROUGH the mountain made transportation easier, and much faster. Gunpowder also re-revolutionised the art of war. Now, cannons, guns, and other weapons were updated and used to take advantage over the opposing side. Yes, gun-powder is used carelessly today, but over the vast time its been out, it has been a great tool in history's timeline.
I believe the greatest achievement of China would be gunpowder because it would give them an advantage in war. It also could be used as explosuves to blow things down so they could build as needed too.
id say that chinas greatest achievement would be paper. Paper can be used for so many things. So much of Chinas history from the older times was documented because they had paper. Paper has adapted and changed but it is still the same idea. The first paper "invented" was strips of bamboo that would be written on. Now, trees are used and we have developed paper to fit our everyday needs. I think that paper is a huge advancement and Chinas greatest advancement.
The greatest Chinese invention was by far paper. Without paper we wouldn't be able to do lots of things. We use paper everyday for homework, bills, taxes, tests, and so much more that it could take forever to name.Paper is made from trees, and trees are also a reliable source. -sammi westfall
i think the greatest achevment that china made was gunpowder because even though the eurapeans were the ones to really make the gun more advanced without china they wouldnt have been able to do anything it brought both riches and sarow to many people.
I think the greatest achievement of China was paper. With paper you could record everything, from your thoughts to information. You can also use it to make books.
In my opinion, i would say one of China's greatest inventions was paper. Imagine, what else would we use to read with or record our thoughts with? Paper has encourages people to read and write and has led to books and poems. Paper was a very iportant invention and is always used in the world today.
I think that out of the many great achievements China has made, paper is the greatest and most important. Without paper we would not be able to record things and a lot of other things would not be invented.

I believe the greatest achievement of china was the invention of gunpowder. I think gunpowder was so important because it gave the chinese such great power. Gunpower operated weapons were superior to spears, bows, and guns. Because of that fact gunpowder enabled China to conquer what they would like and gunpowder also allowed China to instill fear on everyone.

I think it was paper. Without paper, what would we write on? Bamboo? We all use paper everyday. A world without paper seems really odd to most of the people of the world today.
I think the most important achievement of china is paper because without paper there would be less educated people in the world which would lead to more wars because people would make stupider decisions -reece ticotin
I think the greatest achievement of Ancient China was paper, mostly because of how often we use it. It may not have been necessarily influential on many people’s lives, but it has been used to record the better part of the last few centuries.
I believe the greatest achievement of ancient China was the terra cotta army, because it was required for many artists to create a statue of hundreds of different people.
i think the greatest achievement of China was paper. Without paper we wouldn't be able to record things down or read with. Reading and writing has been encouraged to people since the invention of paper and i think this is very important.
I think the greatest achievement of China is paper for a couple of reasons. For one it encouraged many Chinese people to draw and write. Paper was also very important because of how often it was used. I do not know how people could record all their information and such without paper.
I think the greatest achievement of China is paper. Without paper books would still be painted on rocks or pieces of wood. Money would be metal coins or something instead of paper and many other reasons. Paper is used in everyday life and without it who knows how people's lives would be today.
I think the greatest achievment of China was the invention of paper. Also how they kept it to themselves for !,000 years. Without paper we wouldnt be able to communicate thorugh letters, or even get an education.
